Ashley Cole

Treasurer

Hello fellow owners! My name is Ashley Cole and I currently serve as the treasurer of the board. My husband and I purchased our first condo back in 2019 and loved it so much that we now own 10 here at The Cove (and manage a handful more)! I may live four hours away in Topeka, KS but I pretty much consider myself one of the locals as much as I am in town (and so does the wait staff at El Lago).

We are a Christian family and we desire to instill this faith in our children and if successful, we would count this our lives’ crowning achievement!  Our children, numerous as they are (seven!), range in age from 20 months to 20 years and their individual personalities vary just as much. We have an artist (20), a singer (18), a softball/socialite (12), two baseball players (8 & 9), a gymnast, and “the boss” (20 months).

My husband, Scott, and I met at work early in our careers and in a word, I would describe him as ‘persistent’. We are living our happily ever after as a result of his persistence.

We are accounting/finance professionals by trade but we would rather be farming (Scott) and interacting with our guests (me). A couple of years ago I largely stepped down working now only part time in project management roles. It is likely that I will be exiting corporate America completely within the next year to focus completely on our business and, though a little sad because I do also enjoy the challenge in the office, my heart is in hosting.

We love our sports as well and enjoying Chiefs, Royals, and Wildcat games (EMAW!) with friends, family, and BBQ at our crazy, loud, and packed house on our weekends. We simply love to host! While we play hard, we also work hard. Scott persistently reminds me to balance the former with the latter.

We each grew up in small rural communities in Kansas and a commonality within our individual families were annual trips to Branson and Silver Dollar City! Our childhood memories of these trips often took over our conversations and we vowed that our children would experience the same. Scott did not even put up resistance when I suggested a condo for us to stay in and then share with family and friends. That grew into something much bigger than either of us could have ever imagined and we consider ourselves so very blessed to host guests for both our condos and others.

From our family to yours, may God bless you with Peace, Love, and happiness!
